CONSERVATION
Built heritage and social history are what make us tick. We offer a wealth of specialist knowledge and are able to support our clients undertaking works to existing buildings and/or developing new build projects in historic settings.
We deliver a complete service from helping to define the brief, through to obtaining relevant permissions and engaging with the right Contractor to carry out the works. We also act as a conservation consultant, contributing to the specific stages of a project where specialist input is needed; most recently at the Grade 1 listed Hornimann Museum and Gallery, London..
Practice founder Melanie Goode is an RIBA accredited Conservation Architect (CA) and has over 15 years experience with cultural heritage projects and interventions to the historic environment, ranging in scale from private homes in Listed buildings and Conservation areas to new build additions for Scheduled Ancient Monuments. Co-ordinating and accessing funding is a key part of any project and we are adept at navigating the complex challenges of the heritage sector including the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Below is selection of our conservation based projects where the properties are either Grade II or II* listed, set within a Conservation Area or both.
